Founded in 2019 and based in Lynnwood, Washington, Rough Seas Design is a small leather-goods workshop owned and operated by an active-duty U.S. Navy Sailor. Every wallet is made by a single craftsman using ethically sourced materials, with careful attention given to the construction, stitching, and finish.

The exterior features a subtle debossed Old Salt compass rose—a quiet nod to Old Salt Coffee without going overboard on branding. It is an understated IYKYK mark that connects the wallet to the Old Salt crew while preserving a clean, timeless design.

This is not a mass-produced accessory. Each wallet is made by hand with the goal of creating a dependable piece that will age well, develop character, and potentially become an heirloom.

Because the craftsman remains on active duty, availability may be limited or intermittent during deployments, underway periods, and other operational commitments. When these wallets are in stock, hoist one aboard while you can.

Because this wallet is handcrafted and made to order, returns are accepted only for items that arrive damaged, show defective workmanship, or were fulfilled incorrectly.

We do not accept change-of-mind returns for this item. Natural leather may include variations in grain, color, texture, and markings; these are part of the character of genuine leather and are not considered defects unless they materially affect the wallet’s structure, durability, or intended use.
