I served aboard the USS Archerfish SSN-678 submarine. Growing up my Dad told me to drink my coffee black and bitter. He said I would thank him some day. When we got back form a 6 month cruise I took liberty to go home. When I saw Dad I gave him a hug and said Thank You! He looked at me and I explained that his coffee tip really paid off. Any time I was on watch when runners came to the Control Room, I was given a coffee. No fuss no muss, others wanted coffee with 3 sugars and 4 creamers, LOL
