Reserved for only the most exceptional coffees we can secure, Captain’s Reserve represents the rarest finds in the coffee world. These are not coffees we can produce every day—or even every year.  They are limited discoveries that meet our most exacting standards: premium beans, small-batch roasting, and distinct flavor profiles that are truly worth celebrating.

When you see the words Captain’s Reserve, know this: it signals a coffee that’s been chosen with the same level of scrutiny, care, and pride that a Captain would use when selecting the finest crew.  Each time we launch a Captain’s Reserve, it will carry a new blend name beneath the title—because each one will be different, unique, and fleeting.

The Captain’s Reserve – African Blend is a masterful, equal-part combination of three legendary coffee origins:

• Ethiopian Yirgacheffe: Often considered the birthplace of coffee itself, Yirgacheffe beans are renowned for their bright citrus and floral flavors, with a clean, tea-like body that makes every sip refreshing and vibrant.

• Ethiopian Sidamo: Grown at high altitudes and nurtured by generations of skilled farmers, Sidamo coffees are known for their rich fruity sweetness, gentle spice, and complex aromas that hint at berries and wine.

• Rwandan-grown Arabica: Rwanda, often called the “Land of a Thousand Hills,” produces coffee prized for its silky body, crisp red fruit notes, and bright, lively finish—a testament to the nation’s proud agricultural heritage.
